OUR SERVICE FOR PRIVATE CLIENTS

Independent Advice Service

Our firm is designated by the FCA as an independent adviser, which means that our advice is unbiased, unrestricted and based upon a comprehensive and fair analysis of the relevant markets.

We provide advice on the widest range of retail investment products including life policies, personal pensions, stakeholder pensions, unit trusts, investment trusts, open-ended collective investment schemes and structured capital-at-risk products. We also advise on all forms of home finance and protection policies.

Initial Meeting

In order that we may agree the most appropriate service, we will always arrange an initial meeting held at these offices at our expense and without any obligation. The purpose of the meeting is to find out more about you and your financial aspirations and also to provide more information about our company and the services we provide. It is an opportunity for each of us to determine whether our services are appropriate for your circumstances and objectives.

In advance of the initial meeting we require the completion of a confidential pre-meeting questionnaire, which will provide us with details of your financial circumstances and an early indication of your financial aspirations. All the information is treated confidentially and will only be used for advising you on your financial affairs and for no other purpose. This information will form part of our confidential client computer database and we are a registered user of such information under the Data Protection Act 1998.

Following this first meeting we will write to you with an engagement letter, describing the specific services we will provide and the fees we will charge. We will never charge you anything until you have agreed how we are to be paid. Our fees are charged for three separate activities; advice, implementation of recommendations and on-going review and support.

You really have been a total pleasure to deal with. In particular I commend your focus on our needs rather than your fee – something unique to what seems to be a wonderful culture within County Financial. Thank you.

Comprehensive Financial Planning

Our premier service is comprehensive financial planning which involves making best use of income and financial assets in the achievement of your financial aspirations, at the same time minimising your financial risks along the way.

Within this service we create a financial model and a lifetime cashflow forecast which provides a bigger picture by which to plan the most effective strategy for your aspirations. This service is more fully described in a document entitled Comprehensive Financial Planning Review Service and also in a helpful 7 Step Financial Planning Process document. Advisory Service

Not all our clients require a comprehensive financial plan and we are also able to offer a bespoke Advisory Service for particular elements of a client’s financial assets. For example, a client may wish us to carry out a full pension review and make recommendations for the most effective means of retirement planning. Another example would be a client wishing us to review and make recommendations in respect of an investment portfolio and the best use of tax efficient investment schemes. Also, we are often asked to conduct an estate assessment to mitigate the impact of inheritance tax. This service is more fully described in a document entitled The Advisory Review Service. Transactional

The third type of service available through this firm is Transactional, by which we advise on a particular financial product for clients who prefer not to engage us for an on-going service and prefer to contact us as and when they wish to receive any further advice.
