Wycliffe Bible translators have an impressive history of Bible translation, often involving assisting indigenous people create a written language in their own tongue for the first time. As a result of their Bible translation work with indigenous peoples, Wycliffe often initiate other projects to enhance the quality of life of the people with whom they work.
Vision 2025: From 0 to 2006 AD, the complete Bible or New Testament was translated into 1,573 languages. Today, work is underway in close to 2,000 others. By 2025, together with partners worldwide, Wycliffe aim to see projects started in the estimated 2,300 languages that still need them.
