The problem of debt in the UK is increasing at an alarming rate and statistics indicate that one in ten families are juggling multiple debt and 70% of relationship breakdowns cite money trouble as being the principal cause.
CAP aims to have a debt counselling centre in every major town and city in the UK and due to the size of debt they now handle they are able to initiate and lobby for change in the credit industry. They have also recently embarked upon a money education course which is sorely needed especially for the younger generation who have little or no teaching on how to handle money.
